Storyline:
The New Mutants is a movie about 5 teenagers, all of them a stereotype seen in hundreds of movies (the shy girl, the outcast, the rebel, the sexy and the traumatized), that try to survive an “evil” experiment of a big corporation. All of that with bad CGI, horrible performances, and a pointless script. If this movie was an attempt at a Marvel Horror movie, the only thing scaring enough was the price of the ticket.
The fact that I went out during a pandemic to see this, and it was awful, just goes to show you how money-hungry Disney/Marvel really is. The fact they kept pushing for a theatrical release is the dumbest decision they could have made. The story itself was extremely boring, the character development was nonexistent, and the VFX were also fairly mediocre. Don’t waste your time trekking to a theater to see this monstrosity – wait till it’s online.
